HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO:

>> Feel more confident so that you walk off the field feeling great after every game

>> Get fitter and faster so that you are a threat and have more impact in games

>> Be more unpredictable and make better decisions in key momentsof the game

Imagine if you had a structured plan so you knew exactly what to do...

And you had all the right tools?

The good news is...

If you're looking to improve your performance and would like some help reaching a higher level I can help you.

But don't just take our word for it.

These are just a few examples of the hundreds of hockey players from around the world that we've helped to reach a higher level in their game.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Teenagers

Aspiring To Reach Regional, State Or International Level

Club players

Wanting To Play In A Higher Team Or League

Masters players

Looking To Break Into Or Dominate At State Or National Level

Want to know how I helped
these players reach a higher
level in their game?

I'm going to take you through our system called the 4 core pillars.

Most players only focus on this pillar.

80% of your skills comes down to the basics.

Being able to do elimination skills is pointless if you're not able to pass or receive effectively.

A common mistake is that most players focus too much on the FANCY SKILLS

(which they hardly ever use anyway)

I'm talking about things like dragflicking for example.

Think about it...

There is only ONE dragflicker in the team and it's a specialist skill that is only useful at corners.

Don't waste time on skills that won't necessarily get you selected.

You need to master your skills,

However...

Having good skills is NOT enough to reach a higher level

And that's because:

Skills are NOT the only thing selectors look for.

Simply going for runs will not get you fit for hockey

That's because there are so many different aspects of hockey fitness that is required

Endurance is just ONE part.

Think about this:

In a game when do you ever run for 5km in a straight line without changing speed or direction?

Never!

As a hockey player you also need:

But you cannot work on ALL of these things at the same time.

That's why you need a structured program

So that you can focus on the RIGHT THINGS at the right time of the season.

If you try to do TOO MUCH you may burn out,

And it could lead to overtraining

(which takes months to recover from)

OR EVEN WORSE...

Get injured.

And trust me, you don't want to get injured.

Imagine working so hard to reach your goals and then at the last minute getting injured.

That was me.

Injury is the reason I had to stop playing at international level.

I made several common fitness mistakes

And I failed to address the imbalances created from playing hockey (not knowing about them).

Most of the common injuries can be prevented with the right training.

Most personal trainers don't understand how to train hockey players and this often leads to making bad movement patterns worse.

RESULT = INJURY

Or they prescribe workouts that have very little transfer onto the hockey field

Which means you waste your time, energy and effort which lead to subpar results

And a decrease in motivation.

Strength on the ball to maintain possession

Agility to react to changes of direction
Speed endurance to recover between sprints
Mobility to reduce your risk of injuries
Core stability to stay balanced
Quickness for better footwork
Optimum nutrition for higher energy levels

The 2 second advantage

How would you like to always be in the right place at the right time?

To know when to pass and when to go yourself?

The ability to recognise and create space is a valuable skill as a hockey player.

You know those players who always get the ball and seem to have so much time on the ball.

You have to study the game

(off the field)

Sure your decision making will improve gradually over time, but that can take years.

Why wait 10 years?

You can fast track this with deliberate learning.

It's not up to the coach to teach you how to improve your decision making.

This is a big part of your game so you need to spend time working on this away from the field if you want to be the best that you can be.

Being able to anticipate the next move before it happens can literally be a game changer.

Without this pillar, you will NEVER reach your potential!

This pillar is the MOST important, and it's what sits between your ears.

Your mindset is where most of your opportunities lie.

Most players DON'T train their mental game...

But training your mind is as important as training your body.

Why?

If you're not in the right state of mind you will hesitate, overthink and panic under pressure.

Just think of the last time you worried about making a mistake and you did exactly that.

COACHES MAY HIGHLIGHT THE PROBLEM

Saying things like:

"You just need to believe in yourself"

"You need to be more composed"

"You need to be more consistent"

BUT THEY WON'T GIVE YOU THE SOLUTION!

And not knowing how to solve this is even more frustrating...
Mastering your mindset will help you to:
Be more motivated so that training on your own is never a problem
Feel more confident so that nothing stops you from playing your best consistently
Develop a high level of focus so you're able to let go of things you can't control and you can move on from mistakes
Manage your emotions to perform under pressure (even at trials and in big games) and stay in the moment
Bounce back from setbacks to come back better and stronger than before (i.e. injury, not selected, etc)
These ESSENTIAL performance skills are not taught by coaches.

So it's up to you to invest the time in yourself to learn how to get a step ahead to reach the next level.
