Create An Overload From Right Half in Field Hockey

How can you get out of your own defensive half of the field and break into the attacking half, with a numbers up advantage?

One effective outletting strategy that can be used is to create an overload using the right half.

As the right half pushes forward, support players must recognise opportunities to exploit spaces on the right side, making timely passes, overlapping runs, or switching the ball when needed.

With this tactic, your team can control the play and increase your chances of breaking into the circle and scoring.

In today's video we look at an example of creating an overload using the right half in a game situation, which also shows how to be dynamic at the back, going from a back four into a back three.
