An Unexpected Way To Get Into The Circle And Score A Goal in Field Hockey

In order to win games you need to score goals.

And in order to score goals you need to get into the attacking circle.

When I played at senior international level, one of the key stats our coaches always looked was - How many circle entries we had.

Too often I see players trying to make the perfect pass, taking too long to get the ball into the circle and then before you know it, the space closes down and it's chaos in the D.

So, today's inspiration comes from an expected quick pass into the circle that lead to a goal for Germany against England in the 2022 Masters Hockey World Cup.
